Background

Paul started his career as an Officer in the Royal Navy in the ‘80’s. Subsequently he moved into  more commercial roles with HSBC in the far east and Courtaulds in UK before joining PwC in 1995. Initially as Management Consultant specialising in sales and marketing effectiveness, he worked  with numerous larger organisations in the UK and Europe (e.g. ICI, DuPont, Siemens, Nynex, Phillips) leading assignments and relationships.  Finding a passion for behavioural change, making it happen and stick, he moved into the Organisational Development (OD) group at PwC and worked for several years consulting to Partners and clients. Latterly he migrated to the internal L&D function and focused on supporting the Partners with their development and their leadership of the practice. In 2005, he left PwC to establish his own practice and has worked with Waverley since then.

Qualifications

Paul has undertaken numerous development programmes to build his expertise and capability as a Leadership developer, coach, team coach and facilitator. Most recently he has been invited to join the faculty of the Academy of Executive Coaching (AoEC) to lead on a programme titled the Psychology of Coaching. He is an accredited coach qualified to Master Practitioner level.  

Facilitation experience and credentials

Paul has worked in the field of Organisation Development (OD) for over 15 years, with extensive experience in cultural transformation, leadership development and top team alignment, with many thousands of hours of Executive Coaching. 

Examples of recent work

Designed and delivery of leadership and culture change programmes, with action learning and coaching compenents; multiple team building and skills development interventions; Individual and team coaching of senior executives. Recent clients include, Vodafone, B&Q, PwC, Deloitte CIS, Simmons and Simmons LLP, Aggreko, Legal and General, RSM Tenon, Banner Homes.

At our initial meeting it was clear that Paul’s approach, empathy and experience had the potential to make a huge difference to our business – and so it has turned out! From the outset he ‘connected’ with  BWB’s people, our company ethos and values, and the issues we needed to deal with to ‘kick-start’ the rejuvenation of our business.
