PwC – Partner Development

PwC is a global partnership comprising a network of firms in 158 countries with more than 180,000 people across the world delivering assurance, tax and advisory services.  PwC is the largest UK professional services firm in the UK and holds the number one position in the Brand Health Index survey of leading firms. 


PwC places great importance on ‘Cycles Of Experience’ within the Partner Community – helping partners to be constantly learning from their experience and bringing this insight to their leadership within and without the firm. Looking to deepen the quality of this learning process and to intensify the dialogue between Partners, PwC turned to Waverley in 2009 to help refresh their suite of Partner programmes.


Drawing on our research about how senior leaders learn from experience, we co-created with the firm a three part core programme for people at different phases in their Partnership – ‘Renewing Your Leadership’, ‘Making Your Mark’, ‘Creating a Legacy’. These provide invaluable time, under a structured process’ for people radically to examine, and to challenge each other, about what their most powerful leadership contribution to the firm could be.


The Partners, all highly seasoned senior business executives, constantly comment on the power of the experience in (a) helping them refresh and renew their leadership contribution and (b) deepening trust, reinforcing the unique partnership culture of openness and challenge.
